Wash gently
Use clean wash media and a film-safe automotive shampoo. Avoid directing high pressure into film edges.
Remove contaminants
Insects, bird droppings, sap and mineral deposits should be handled promptly with approved products and minimal abrasion.

Inspect the vehicle before defining the work.
Paint, glass, trim and existing material can change the safe scope. Photos help with planning, but the written estimate controls the exact product, included areas and warranty terms.

The first days after installation
Follow the product-specific instructions given at delivery. Some moisture patterns or light haze can be part of the settling process, while lifting edges or trapped contamination require inspection. Do not pick at edges, puncture bubbles or apply aggressive heat without installer guidance.
Washing PPF
Rinse loose grit before touching the surface. Use a clean mitt or towel and an automotive shampoo approved for the film. Work out of direct sun when practical so soap and mineral-rich water do not dry onto a hot panel. Dry with clean, soft microfiber rather than allowing hard-water spots to bake onto the surface.
Pressure washers and edges
A pressure washer can damage film when the nozzle is too close, pressure is excessive or the spray is aimed into an edge. Keep a conservative distance, use a wide fan and spray across rather than under edges. Automated brushes and aggressive tools can also create unnecessary wear.
Florida contaminants
Heat can make insects, sap, bird droppings and road film harder to remove. Treat them promptly with film-compatible products. Avoid strong solvents, abrasive polish and unknown chemicals. If a stain remains, ask the installer before escalating the cleaning method.
When to request an inspection
Contact the installer if an edge lifts, dirt enters under the film, a panel takes a hard impact or appearance changes do not resolve with approved care. Photographs help determine whether the issue is surface contamination, film damage or a paint-related condition.
